Aquatic Invasive Species Workshop and Paddle

Registration is closed for this event
Interested in learning about aquatic invasives? Join the Aquatic ISF Lead Boat Steward for an on-the-water training!

Photo by Lindsay YoderPerhaps you're familiar with terrestrial invasives thanks to the amazing Invasives Strike Force program. Now, we invite you to get your feet wet with identifying aquatic species! New this season, in partnership with the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, the AmeriCorps Aquatic ISF Lead Boat Steward is hosting a free aquatic invasive species identification and survey training. Once you've learned what to look for, you'll have the opportunity to practice rake toss survey protocol and field identification on the water, with kayaks provided free of charge thanks to a generous rental donation by Hudson River Expeditions

After the workshop, if you would like to be assigned your own lake or river to survey for aquatic invasive species, let us know! We would love to have you on our volunteer team.

If you have any questions, email Lindsay at [email protected].
