Trail Maintenance is clearing, cleaning, and blazing.  Trail maintainers use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail, remove debris from drainage structures, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes.

Join Lou Baldanza at the beautiful Neversink River Gorge to give back to some of its most beloved trails and learn first hand what it takes to be a trail maintainer in the field and adopt a trail segment of your very own!

View this map for a more detailed view of the location. Bring  work gloves, wear sturdy closed shoes, bring a bag lunch and PLENTY of water. If you have loppers, hand shears or pruners, please bring them with you. Otherwise let Lou know you're coming so that he can organize sufficient tools ahead of time.
