<p>We hit the tracks today and after about a mile, there was a stream crossing. &nbsp;Only the rails crossed the stream, no platform or bridge or other way to walk across. &nbsp;The stream was a four to five foot drop, so probably too dangerous for most hikers to walk heel to toe on the rail across. &nbsp;Since we could not continue with this hike, we drove to Carranza Monument and hiked the Batona Trail to Apple Pie Hill fire tower and back, which is 8 miles round trip and very worthwhile. &nbsp;You can see Atlantic City from the tower.</p>
